UKI Senior Brand Manager

  • Hybrid

Job description

Why we are here

Tony's Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Waitrose, Ben & Jerry's and Huel have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

What you will do

We are looking for a Senior Brand Manager to lead our masterbrand and hero campaigns across the UK and Ireland. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in one of Tony's fastest-growing markets. You will own masterbrand campaign planning and execution, paid media planning and buying with an agency, ensuring new products land on shelf on time, and team development, acting as the right hand to our Head of Marketing. You will manage two Brand Managers, deploy media spend, and build the consumer insight capability from the ground up.

This role is made for a hands-on brand builder who's ready to step up. You're commercially sharp and creatively brave, equally happy digging into the data and pushing an agency for braver work. You don't wait for the perfect process, you build it. And you're driven by more than just campaign results; you want your marketing to mean something.

It’s a hybrid role based in Richmond, London where we try to spend more days together than we do apart.

All wrapped up

  • Lead the development and execution of Tony's masterbrand and hero campaigns end-to-end to grow brand health metrics, reach and frequency.

  • Drive reach through earned, owned and paid channels, pulling everything together into one coordinated plan that hits both brand health and sales targets.

  • Partner with media and creative agencies to plan and execute HFSS-compliant paid media across audio visual channels, OOH and print channels.

  • You ensure NPD lands on shelf on time and in full, that the sales team have everything they need for retail sell ins and support the brand manager to ensure each product gets the right marketing support at launch and to drive sustained growth.

  • Deploy campaign spend effectively, controlling budget and evaluating all investment for commercial return and brand building metrics

  • Build the UK consumer insight agenda from the ground up, turning shopper, category and consumer data into actionable campaign strategies.

  • Manage and develop two Brand Managers through coaching, honest feedback and clear frameworks that drive accountability and growth.

  • Embed operational rigour across the brand team by establishing reporting, measurement, planning and evaluation processes.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, global teams in Amsterdam, and external media and creative agencies to align brand activity with commercial priorities.

Job requirements

Our new flavour:

  • Proven FMCG brand management experience, with a strong track record of delivering 360 (paid, earned, owned, retail) campaigns and being a true brand guardian.

  • Strong media planning strategic judgment and proven media agency management. Particularly in HFSS-compliant channels – audio visual, OOH and print.

  • Line management experience with a genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports.

  • Strong consumer insight skills: experience conducting or commissioning research and translating findings into campaigns and strategies.

  • Commercial acumen and budget management experience, comfortable owning and deploying significant campaign budgets with accountability for ROI.

  • Experience bringing new products to market within an FMCG or retail context.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where processes are still being built. You find a way rather than wait for one.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and senior leadership without relying on formal authority.

  • Believe wholeheartedly in Tony's purpose. You live our core values: outspoken, in it together, entrepreneurial, raise the bar and makes you smile.

Our benefits (the icing on the cake)

We also offer a wide range of additional benefits, including health insurance, unlimited holidays, free healthy lunch at the office, company bonus and a shares participation plan, and of course unlimited chocolate.
