Supply Chain Planner

  • Hybrid

Job description

Why we are here

Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

What you will do

We're looking for a new Supply Chain Planner to join our Operations team in Amsterdam! Your goal is to ensure fulfilment of all customer orders on time and in full for your dedicated product area. You will create and optimize our production plans 6 months ahead whilst keeping stock levels and costs in control by creating accurate production plans as well as initiating, supporting and executing improvement projects to upgrade our planning processes. You will be involved in product innovation processes for your product portfolio and be the planning point of contact.

As a member of our supply chain planning team you will report to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, Europe, but the scope of this role is global with focus on Europe and the US. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Tony’s different departments, e.g. the finance, supply chain, product, market operations and procurement teams. Externally you will be in touch with our production partners and suppliers daily. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solution oriented and analytical professional who wants to be part of something truly revolutionary!

All wrapped up, here’s what you will do:

  • Create optimal production plans for the next 6 months: Make sure there is sufficient and timely stock of semi-finished and co-packed products by creating optimal production plans, communicating actively with Tony’s supply chain network, tackling any problems that might affect our customer experience as well as balancing inventory and costs. You monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive improvements and will be involved in the implementation of a new planning system!

  • You monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive improvements, and you identify, support and lead improvement projects related to supply chain planning and scalable processes that support Tony’s growth. You lead the introduction of a solid S&OE (sales and operations execution) process.

  • Manage production of our seasonal products from A-Z for the year ahead: Create an optimal timeline and production plan per season in consultation with Tony’s market teams matching desired quantities and timings with production capacity.

  • Manage stock levels: Ensure stock covers are within the desired range for us to be able to fulfil orders whilst not limiting our cash position and risking product wastage.

  • Partner with our product innovation team: Be the point of contact for our new product development team for any product development and innovation questions or projects for your product portfolio. You make sure the planning team is represented, input is provided, first productions are planned and product innovations are delivered on time and in full.
