What you will do 

Now we’re looking for a Shift leader to join our retail team! You will work part-time on a flexible contract in our iconic Superstore at the heart of Amsterdam. Your goal is to raise the bar in the Superstore by being an example for our retail team (aka Super Stars) to increase the sales and turn customers into choco fans. 

You will be the one coordinating the store during your shift. Your responsibility lies in answering any questions or solving problems from the Super Stars and customers. You provide exquisite customer solutions on the floor and inspire the store team to follow your lead. You will manage on average 5-6 Super Stars per shift and report to the Store Co-Captains. 

All wrapped up 

• You make sure that your Super Stars feel welcome and special in our Super Store 

• You are a role model for your colleagues and inspire them with your hospitality and creativity on the work floor 

• You coach your fellow Tony's by setting a fantastic example 

• You guard the quality, safety and hospitality in the store 

• You solve small operational problems 

• You independently close and open the Super Store 

• You demonstrate an excellent team spirit and make sure there is a fun and safe atmosphere on the floor for our team 

• You’ll challenge the superstars actively to turn customers into choco fans 

• You come up with new ideas to improve the ‘look and feel’ of the store 

• You answer questions of our customers and give small tours in the Store when needed. 

Job requirements 

• You know just how to make everyone leave our Tony’s store with a smile. You are open, easily approachable and always helpful. Yes, always. Even when someone wants to complain for a moment or maybe ask challenging questions.  

• You are living in the Netherlands with a work permit.  

• You are available to join the team soon. You are available to work 2-3 shifts per week (one shift is 6.5 hours) and at least one weekend day per week. 

• Fluency in English a must and proficiency in another language is a nice to have.  

• You raise the bar: challenge yourself and team Tony’s to increase our ambition and to accomplish our mission. Making mistakes along the way and learning from them.   

• Believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s purpose. You live our core values: outspoken, willful, entrepreneurial and makes you smile.

For this position we offer €16.01 gross per hour, including the 8% holiday pay, and 150% for Sunday hours and 200% on public holidays.
