Sales Intern (Out of Home)

We are on the hunt for our new Sales intern(Out of Home) to join our Beyond and Out of Home sales team in Amsterdam! In this role you will have the chance to work closely with our Benelux Out of Home (3/4) and Beyond sales teams (1/4). Within our Out of Home market, we serve a variety of sectors, including foodservice (catering), petrol, wholesale, and gifting. Our Beyond markets are international export markets, such as Italy and Spain, as well as markets across the globe, such as Israel, Japan, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand! You’ll get insights into all functions within Sales and learn how we work with our customers to increase the sales of our Tony’s chocolate assortment. Because more sales means more impact!


You’ll have the freedom and opportunity to make a serious impact on our Beyond Markets. You’ll gain insights into all features within Sales and learn how we work with our distributors, as well as how to work with our internal business partners, such as the Digital Marketing Team, Design Team and various Account Managers.

Here's what you will do:

  • Support in a smooth innovation process when Tony’s introduces new products! Think of gathering internal information on the innovation, sending all logistical information to our customers, sending samples & pack shots.
  • Support creating sales presentations and promotional material, such as flyers and promotional folders, as well as briefing the Tony's design team on the artwork creations for sales materials.
  • Make sure our distributors’ journey is impeccable by sending them onboarding documents, coordinating kick-off meetings, maintaining our online platform and evaluating the journey.
  • Support the finance and logistics support on getting materials from the Netherlands to all the different markets.
  • Support all Account Managers in both the Beyond and Out of Home sales activities and analyses, visit stores to gather insights on new displays, reach out to existing or potential customers and initiate projects to create better customer experiences in stores.
  • Initiate creating newsletters for our partners to inspire and inform them about everything that is happening around our company and products across the globe.

But that’s not all! Based on the areas you’d like to develop in, you’ll work on one or more of these exciting tasks:

  • Learn how an innovation process within the FMCG goes
  • Learn how to make presentations and writing briefings to marketing teams
  • Learn how a distributor works and coordinate kick off meetings
  • Support our digital marketeers in improving the websites for the markets to learn how to optimize websites
  • Join us as our trade show hero! Learn how to organize and staff our booth, and take Tony's Chocomobile to various locations for tastings, where you'll share our story and chocolate.

Job requirements

  • You’re studying an HBO/university degree in a commercial or business direction and are looking to gain practical internship experience in a real work environment within a sales team. You are enrolled at the school during the entire internship period.
  • You are fluent in both English and Dutch.
  • You have a valid drivers license. 
  • It's great if you have already some relevant experience in a customer-facing position, such as in Sales or Customer Service, but curiosity and the motivation to dive deeper into the topic are more important to us. It is important that you are enthusiastic to reach out to business consumers and eager to get in contact with new people.
  • In previous internships, side jobs or your university projects, you have proven to be able to work independently and precisely. When you see anything that can go better, you like to give and receive feedback about it and improve it instead of making it look all shiny.

Hard facts 

  • Starting on September 2nd, you'll be part of our dynamic and passionate team until February 28th.
  • We are all about being more in person than apart; this means we offer flexibility but see each other in our Amsterdam office on average 3 days a week. More is fine!
  • You’ll be living in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship.
