We're excited to announce an opening for a National Distributor Manager to join our dynamic US sales team! As we accelerate our growth in the US and Canada, we're expanding our distribution reach, and this is your chance to be a pivotal player in our next growth phase within the chocolate industry.
In this role, you'll focus on driving revenue through distribution, enhancing brand loyalty, and, most importantly, raising awareness of our mission among regional, national, and international distributors.
We’re seeking a candidate with extensive experience in distribution management and a proven track record in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) sector. You’ll have the opportunity to strategize and expand our distribution network while enjoying the freedom to pivot, innovate, and think big. As a valued member of Team US, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Natural & Food Service.

What you will do:
- You will shape our overall distribution strategy, which will encompass food service, specialty candy, international exports, and traditional CPG distributors. This strategy will focus on routes to market, product expansion, portfolio development, and other initiatives designed to achieve our ambitious goals.
- You will lead a strategic business unit aimed at driving increased availability and profitable sales growth for both Tony’s Chocolonely and our key distributor partners.
- You will manage key responsibilities, including account and broker management, demand forecasting, trade and promotion management, distributor sales training, trade shows, and all brand interactions within your assigned distributors.
- You will identify, vet, and onboard new distributor partners to expand our distribution network and enhance market reach.
- You will act as a vital connector between distributor partners and brokers, ensuring smooth communication and coordinated actions.
- You will advocate for distributor success, collaborate cross-functionally to address their needs and support our internal and external sales teams.
Job requirements
- 3 to 5 years of direct experience in CPG distribution management, working with regional, national, and international distributors across multiple channels.
- Proficient in utilizing syndicated data sources (such as IRI and Nielsen) to drive insights and strategies.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and distributor pricing, enabling the optimization of customer strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in onboarding and managing international distributors, ensuring effective partnerships.
- Skilled in setting objectives for distributor partners that align with broader organizational goals and drive mutual success.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and sales teams, both internally and externally.
- Experienced in using distributor management portals to generate reports that optimize inventory and forecasting for Tony’s.
