National Account Manager - Drug & Alternative Channels

We're excited to announce the opening for a National Account Manager, Drug & Convenience to join our dynamic North America Sales team! 

The National Account Manager – Drug & Alternative Channels is responsible for driving revenue growth across the Drug and Alternative Channels by expanding distribution, strengthening brand affinity, and increasing mission awareness with major Drug Channel retailers, convenience stores, alternative channel partners, and e‑commerce accounts. Oversees distributor development and performance, broker management, trade show execution, trade spend optimization, sales training, customer presentations, and in‑market sampling programs for the chocolate portfolio. Leads the overall strategy for the Drug and Convenience channels, including route‑to‑market design, portfolio planning, and the development of key initiatives to achieve ambitious growth targets 

What you will do:

  • Guide the Drug Channel strategy with a focus on expanding distribution, improving profitability, and driving revenue growth through the development and strengthening of the distribution network across the two major drug retailers.

  • Lead the continued advancement of this channel by elevating placement, pricing, and promotional acceleration to support long‑term growth.

  • Oversee continued development of the Convenience Channel, responsible for building the strategic framework, establishing route‑to‑market foundations, and identifying best‑case success models to scale distribution and performance. 

  • Manage the Alternative Channel by deepening existing distribution, identifying new retail opportunities, and balancing both distribution expansion and profitability optimization. 

  • Continue to grow Ecommerce retailers by nurturing key partnerships and driving increased distribution, brand awareness, and profitability alignment across digital platforms. 

  • Evaluate trade marketing spending and develop effective and efficient trade marketing plans while managing the Drug P&L in conjunction with the direct line manager. Working on Specific Drug/Alt channel promotions, off shelf programs and sales-marketing plans.

  • Participate in distributor and retailer events example ECRM’s, kick-off meetings, & trade shows (Sweets and Snacks/ Expo West) to build excitement for our brand and demand.  

Job requirements

  • 2-3 years combined experience in the Drug Channel and/ or Drug Retailer, Broker or Distributor experience preferred. 

  • Advanced understanding of developing optimal promotional activations in the Drug and Alternative Channel  

  • Excellent business analytical skills – use of data to drive product and pricing strategies, and their impact to production forecasts.  

  • Ability to transform insights and analytics into customized strategic account plans for deliver growth.  

  • Understanding of P&L and price implications to optimize customer strategies and management of trade funding capabilities.   

  • Strong cross-functional and team coordination skills  

  • Capable of building strong internal and external relationships to achieve desired customer outcomes.
