E-commerce Manager, Benelux
- Hybrid
Job description
Why we are here
Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.
What you will do
We are hiring an E-commerce Manager, Benelux to accelerate our online performance in our most mature market. Your mandate is to deliver strong commercial results across our Webshop and online reseller channels and to raise the standard of how we serve customers.
You lead the local ecommerce P&L and a team of three to deliver growth and profitability. Personalisation is a major driver of our business, and we have a clear ambition to scale this capability in Benelux and set the benchmark for online gifting. You’ll define and execute our commercial strategy, strengthen the partnerships that matter, and unlock new opportunities across platforms and collaborations. You guide the development and optimisation of high performing campaigns through a disciplined approach to testing, insight, and performance management.
You are also part of the global ecommerce leadership team who defines the product and user experience vision for our Chocoshop. Benelux brings the scale, insight and market reality that shape that vision. This role ensures the team translates global direction into high quality execution, while influencing what “great” looks like across the company.
You work closely with our Chocofancare lead, so the wider team delivers an outstanding customer experience built on insight, operational excellence and a strong service culture. The role reports to the Country Manager Benelux.
All wrapped up, you will be responsible for:
Strategy and Planning
Shape a clear three-year growth strategy for Benelux and translate it into annual priorities and investment choices.
Build and deliver a focused one-year plan with defined initiatives, targets and resource needs.
Performance and Growth
Scale our personalisation and gifting business as a major growth engine.
Drive performance through qualified traffic, strong UX and effective merchandising.
Identify and test new opportunities across emerging platforms, partnerships and digital innovation.
Cross-Functional Influence
Work closely with central ecommerce and product teams, ensuring that Benelux insights shape global decisions and that global direction lands cleanly in the market.
Guide hybrid customer journeys that connect online and in-person touchpoints to deepen engagement.
Customer Experience Excellence
Support the Chocofancare lead to deliver an efficient, high-quality customer experience that strengthens loyalty and repeat behaviour.
Champion data-driven decision making by embedding a scalable performance framework that turns insight into action.
Team Leadership
Build and inspire a high-performing, motivated team.
Provide clear direction, streamline ways of working and drive growth through coaching and talent development.
Job requirements
Commercial and Strategic Strength
Proven experience driving ecommerce growth with P&L responsibility.
Strong commercial judgement, including negotiation and managing complex agreements.
Ability to turn strategy into execution and deliver results under pressure.
Digital and Performance Expertise
Solid understanding of ecommerce levers: UX, merchandising and conversion optimisation.
Experience with performance marketing
Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
Leadership and Collaboration
Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Skilled at aligning cross-functional stakeholders and bringing clarity in a fast-moving environment.
Customer and Culture Fit
Strong customer orientation with a clear grasp of journeys and experience optimisation.
Excellent communication and influencing skills in English.
Understanding of the Dutch culture and market with eagerness to activate customers around key moments throughout the year; Dutch language skills is a big plus!
Aligned with Tony’s purpose and values, and comfortable in a hybrid working setup - We are all about being more in person than apart, which means we offer flexibility but see each other in the office on average 3 days a week. More is fine too!
Our benefits (the icing on the cake)
At Tony's you will get the opportunity to be part of something extraordinary; first and foremost, by making real impact in the world but also enjoying the nice benefits we provide as you help us succeed. We’re dedicated to enabling all Tonys to grow and develop their careers and therefore we offer training programs, regular feedback cycles, coaching and a generous L&D budget. We also offer a wide range of additional benefits, including a luxurious lunch at the office, company bonus, minimum of 28 holidays, inspirational team updates, unforgettable events and unlimited chocolate. But we also know chocolate won’t cover the bills, so we’ve made sure your salary is just as rewarding, for this role that means a salary between 76k and 93k on a yearly basis, including holiday pay.
Sounds like you?
