We are looking for a National Account Manager to join our team and manage some of our biggest and most strategic customers! The #1 goal of this role is to deliver the budgeted UK net revenue, gross margin, and distribution target for some of our key grocery customers in line with the 5-year plan, helping ensure everyone knows our brand and mission.

As Tony’s National Account Manager, you will nurture meaningful customer relationships with each of your key contacts. This role will be responsible for the customer terms, negotiations and promotional plans as well as ensuring Tony’s disrupts and delights shoppers at every touchpoint in a truly Tony’s way. You will have full P&L responsibility.

We are in search of someone whose charm, entrepreneurial attitude and experience in the grocery world will make us look like the number 1 brand! This role is part of the UK sales team and reports to the Grocery Controller.


Ready to raise the bar with us? Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Manage and grow some of our biggest and longest standing grocery customers. You will build and nurture lasting partnerships with them – making them and their customers part of our mission!
  • Smash your targets and hit our sales, share and distribution numbers including the delivery of our net revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Build and deliver ambitious and robust joint business plans with each customer.
  • Accurately forecast and deliver the business plans to keep Tony’s in strong growth and your customers in stock at all times.
  • Monitor business and category performance so you’re always on the ball and communicate what you’re seeing with any trends, opportunities or concerns flagged early so we’re ahead of the game. You will be an expert in knowing the ins and outs of the pricing and promotional strategies for your channel to help shape the wider business strategy and future plans.
  • Be confident using data and have experience in building category-based sell in stories to take to your customers and grow our sales and presence on shelves.
  • Responsible for delivering best in class NPD launches in your customers, this will involve working collaboratively with all functions from marketing to operations and product, from ideation to launch on shelf.

Job requirements

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar NAM (National Account Management) role within the FMCG industry where you’ve proven that you’re a dab hand at sales, customer management and building category-based sell in stories.
  • You understand the P&L thoroughly having managed P&Ls in prior roles and you’re great at seeking out and managing mutually beneficial opportunities to grow Tony’s, the issue awareness and your customer’s sales all at the same time.
  • You’re a go-getter who can negotiate skillfully and hold your nerve in tough situations, winning concessions without damaging relationships. You always aim to raise the bar for yourself, Tony’s and the chocolate industry.
  • You know how to convince others by using compelling arguments and you’re a great communicator at all levels – able to succinctly get your idea across regardless of the audience.
  • We are all about being more in person than apart. This means we offer flexibility but see each other in the office on average 3 days a week. More is fine!
